Vincent - A life in Colour

Our first art exhibition will be based around the life and works of Vincent Van Gogh, the great post-Impressionist painter.

Van Gogh's life is rich in content: not only was he an innovative painter, he also struggled with mental illness and had an extremely supportive family.  Van Gogh's motifs are iconic, and this will allow us to really dress up the Railway Station!

To assist schools in encouraging their students to enjoy the paintings, we have developed powerpoint lessons.

Magritte - Son of Man

The God of Apples - Abellio

The second exhibition will be inspired by AbellioScotrail itself!  Abellio was the God of Apple trees, so we shall celebrate apples in art.

Probably the most famous painting to feature apples is Magritte's Son of Man, where the apple covers the whole face of the subject!

We might even plant some apple trees!
